Cherry Angiomas

Cherry angiomas are small, bright red or purple growths filled with numerous small blood vessels. They can appear anywhere on the skin but are most often found on the upper body.

Characteristics:

  • Size can range from a pinhead to a pencil eraser.
  • Typically harmless but can bleed if injured.
  • Commonly increase in number with age.

Treatment:

  • Generally, no treatment is required unless they bleed frequently.
  • Removal options include laser therapy, electrosurgery, or cryotherapy.
