Milia

Milia are small, white cysts that appear when keratin becomes trapped beneath the skin’s surface.

Characteristics:

• Often found on the eyelids and cheeks.
• Common in newborns but can occur in people of all ages.
• Typically harmless.

Treatment:

• Usually do not require treatment.
• Can be removed by a dermatologist for cosmetic reasons.
